Adorned Nails: Arcancil Bleu Demoniak

Don't be fooled by the name. This is really just a blue crème nail polish. It's a blue so dark you'd think it's black. I know some of you think it's way too foreboding and perhaps lacking in character, but oh, I love Bleu Demoniak. I'm convinced now that I was born with a dark soul.

Application was problem-free and I did two coats here. If you're not too convinced that it's a blue, here's evidence that it is. Thank you, sun.

Right, a nail polish this broody and with a name like that definitely deserves a foreboding stamping design. I found it in Fauxnad plate T04 from Chez Delaney. I have loved this dragon design ever since I first set my eyes on it. I think Bleu Demoniak provides a great backdrop for it. The silver polish used for the stamping is an old discontinued polish from Catrice called Silver Moon (I've used it for stamping several times before).

I didn't want to have too many dragons on my nails, so I placed it only on the ring fingers. On the other nails, I stamped only the 'wing' part of the dragon, just for design's sake.

Hi, Jeanie! Oh, so you're also quite taken by this charming dragon, huh? :D Hmm, my nails? Frankly, I don't do anything that special about them. I love to eat spinach and I take Omega-3 supplements. I really want to start on Biotin, but I haven't gotten round to getting it yet. I apply creams/oils (from MuLondon, Burt's Bees and/or recently, Josie Maran) on my cuticles and nails (the latter on days when I don't have nail polish on). But trust me, I sometimes have bad nail days too! Anyway, I hope you'll have a great New Year too, Jeanie! :)

@KTee
Yay to Mr. Dragon! This design is good enough for a tattoo even. :D

@raey
Thanks, raey! Ah, I knew some readers would think it looks black. I'm glad I included that third photo. :D

@Arie
Gracias, Arie! Here's wishing you a lovely New Year too! :)

@Shop N' Chomp
Well, then, you're feeling it right, my dear! :D

Very nicely done! I like the dragon, and the blue is gorgeous! I know want a nail art plate with all the designs of the Chinese new years, so I can start every new year appropriately... Unfortunately my year is not the dragon, but sheep/goat... I gess that would be a little less impressive on my nails ;-)

@DalaLuz
Thanks, DalaLuz! Well, I don't know if this is an oriental dragon but I just think it's a fab design. A stamping plate with all the Chinese zodiac animals? That would be cool! I haven't seen such a plate yet though. :)

This colour looks so pretty! The combination of the nail polish and the stamp reminds me of vampire, hehe

Haha, yes, it is an evil-looking manicure, isn't it? :D
