Adorned Nails: Catrice Forget-Me-Not

If poison were purple, this would be it.

Come to think of it, Catrice did have another purple in its previous collection, appropriately named Poison Me, Poison You, which was also lethal-looking but had less bling than this one here.

Just like Catrice Purplelized which I wore in April, Forget-Me-Not is dense with silver micro-glitters (unfortunately, it's not a holo). Purplelized is an aubergine purple, easy on the eye. Forget-Me-Not, on the other hand, is a gaudy purple, wicked and deadly.

I should mention that Forget-Me-Not looks like GOSH Gasoline (based on placing the bottles side-by-side). Dupe? In real life, you may not be able to tell the difference at a glance but Gasoline's micro-glitters are blue/purple/silver. I will do a better comparison on nails when I feature Gasoline later.

I have to say that I haven't had any problems with this latest range of Catrice polishes. I had such an easy time applying this polish, especially with the broad brush. You're looking at two coats. I wore Forget-Me-Not for four days (no top coat) with only very slight chipping which started on the third day.

This is what it looks like in sunlight:

I must emphasise what good value this is: only €2.49 for 10ml. And gorgeous, if you love purples.

  6. Yep, it's a really beautiful blingy purple :). I have it myself and I'm so happy with it! It's great with Poison Me Poison You as a skittle manicure ;). They fit each other so well and despite the bling and purple, which can be a bit too over the top, they look pretty classy together :D.

  7. A-mazing colour! And I really love the angles from which you took pictures; it's so refreshing to see new angles! IMO, Gasoline looks to be more sheer, but colourwise they look pretty close (I have yet to get Forget-Me-Not though). :)

    It could be. I haven't got Coconut Kiss but I've googled it up. You're probably right. :)

    @Zuzu's Petals
    Haha, thanks, Zuzu! Yes, it's very me - lethal and evil. ;D

    I figured you would have bought this too, since you had said you liked Poison Me, Poison You so much. Ooh, a purple Skittles with alternate bling! Heh heh! That's a funky idea. :)

    @Jette Fromm
    Thank you so much for your kind words! It's very nice to know that you appreciate the effort I put into taking my pictures. Also, thanks for your input on Gasoline. I will have to try Gasoline on my nails when I have the time. :)

  18. Wow, Forget-Me-Not rocks but I prefer Purplelized.

    Cosnova must be losing originality because there is another nail polish from Essence with the same name, this one is blue-lavender (from Blossoms etc... Trend Edition).

  19. @BlackCherry
    I agree. Cosnova does seem to be recycling names, even within the same brand. I've seen the same with their Stampy Design Plates and one other suspicious polish. It's very confusing! :P

  21. I'm not really into purple polishes, but when I saw this one I needed to buy it, it was so sparkly!
    Looks so good on you and WOW four days wear without topcoat, I'm impressed.

  22. @PolishSis
    Thank you! Oh, yes yes, sparkly / glittery = PolishSis. ;D These Catrice polishes fair quite well on the durability front. Kudos to Catrice!
