Adorned Nails: Essence Mystic Mermaid Top Coat

Essence released a whole bunch of top coats with different effects not too long ago, calling them Nail Art Special Effect Toppers. This one, Mystic Mermaid, was the only one I got for myself.

Mystic Mermaid is a micro-glitter top coat - mainly silver with some hints of aqua. Price: €1.79 for a 8ml bottle. I just thought I'd show how it looks on its own and layered on a few polishes. I've been sporting a Skittles manicure just for this but I'll only be showing the individual nails.

Essence Where Is The Party?

I think layering with Mystic Mermaid adds spunk to plain crème and glossy polishes but it does take the edge off flaky polishes (perhaps it would have been better with a very thin layer of Mystic Mermaid).
