I have quite a number of loose eyeshadows / eyeshadow pigments sitting idle and snuggly in my vanity drawer. Most of them were my own purchase and I keep wondering why I ever bought them if I so detest eyeshadow fallout! To add to the insanity, I bought a few more the other day! Hmph, it's ridiculous how I can't seem to talk sense to myself.
Anyway, the deed is done. It's time to show my loose eyeshadows some love. I just need to constantly hold a tissue under my eyes to catch the inevitable fallout (oh, I just need three hands, no biggie), or try applying them wet to minimise the fallout.
I know eyeshadow pigments are available from all sorts of brands these days but a couple of weekends ago, I bought some eyeshadow pigments at Etos (a Dutch drugstore chain). You see, I had received one, a beautiful blue-turqoise pigment, as a gift earlier, and so, I decided go check out the rest in the range. They were housed in cute little bottles and they came in a total of six different shades (five were really gorgeous, I thought). This bronzy gold one that I'm wearing here is one of them.

In this look, I paired it with an ashy purple/aubergine ELF Mineral Eyeshadow that has been lurking in my drawer for a couple of years.

I used:

Etos Eyeshadow Underbase
Etos Pure Pigments No. 102 - bronzy gold
ELF Mineral Eyeshadow in Royal - ashy aubergine
Inglot Duraline
GOSH Velvet Touch Eye Liner in Black Ink (reviewed here)
Teeez Full & Flirty Volume Mascara
Note: The mascara was kindly provided by Teeez Cosmetics and I have worn it in several previous eye looks. My verdict: For my short, sparse and stick-straight lashes, the Teeez Full & Flirty Volume Mascara doesn't do much except lengthen. There is hardly any volume but worst of all, it doesn't hold a curl. In fact, my pre-curled lashes were straightened as soon as I was done applying the mascara! I had to keep pushing my lashes up with the back of my finger. I'm not impressed.

You can already tell it's a very easy look. I used my newly acquired Etos Eyeshadow Underbase as an eyeshadow primer.
- Patted on the bronzy gold pigments with a dense eyeshadow brush.
- Applied the ashy aubergine eyeshadow in circular motions with a blending brush.
- Mixed the ashy aubergine eyeshadow with Duraline (to make it liquid) and lined the outer two-thirds of the lash line.
- Did the same with Duraline for the outer half of the lower lash line.
- Tightlined with the black pencil eyeliner.
- Curled lashes and applied two coats of mascara.

You should know that I still had bits of pigments on my cheeks despite my three-handed tissue juggle.
