Adorned Nails: KOH Paparazzi Collection

Let's take a closer look at KOH's latest special collection, KOH Paparazzi.

It's a glitter-and-glamour collection. Three are simple but sophisticated while the remaining three are flashy, each meant to be layered over its less flamboyant mate. Here's the collection at a glance:

L-R:
KOH Gossip
KOH Extremely Famous
KOH Snap Shot
KOH Attention
KOH Biggest Fan
KOH Flashing Lights

I'm featuring the three pairs of polishes in this order: lilac, grey and blue. For each of the base colours, you're looking at two coats.

KOH Gossip
KOH Gossip is a lilac with subtle shimmer. It's pretty and subdued.

KOH Extremely Famous
Extremely Famous is an un-shy glitter polish in clear liquid. The mostly-large hexagonal glitters are pink and sapphire blue in colour. Here, it's shown layered over the lilac of Gossip.

KOH Biggest Fan
Biggest Fan is a straightforward dark grey créme.

KOH Flashing Lights
This one is a multi-sized flakey/glitter mix. The particles are rainbow-coloured, depending on how they catch the light. This is Flashing Lights layered over Biggest Fan.

KOH Snap Shot
Black-blue is how I would describe KOH Snap Shot. Like Biggest Fan, it's a glossy plain créme.

KOH Attention
This is my favourite pairing - KOH Attention layered over Snap Shot. Attention has both large and fine blue/purple hexagonal glitters accompanied by small, round green/aqua glitter bits.

Polishes kindly provided by KOH Cosmetics.

You can, of course, change the pairings. The combinations can always be played around with these six polishes.

The KOH Paparazzi collection is out now in stores and in the KOH online shop. Price: €14.99 per bottle.

Adorned Nails: KOH Atmosphere

Okay, here's the final polish from Galaxy and it's my other favourite from the collection.

KOH Atmosphere is pretty much the green counterpart of KOH Stardust. It's a green-gold duochrome shimmer and a two-coater.

At this angle, it looks an ashy brown-green.

Look at it again and Atmosphere becomes a pompous green.

And finally, here it is showing off its lovely combined green-goldness.

The Galaxy collection is now available via the KOH online shop.

Previous Galaxy polish: KOH Stardust

Adorned Nails: KOH Stardust

This is one of my two favourites from the Galaxy collection.

KOH Stardust is both beautiful and mysterious. It's predominantly a burgundy-golden brown duochrome shimmer but you may see a glint of green/green-gold at certain angles sometimes.

Here it is in all its burgundy glory.....

.....and here it is parading its burgundy-brown.

I love it when a polish has more than one personality!

Previous Galaxy polish: KOH Milky Way
Next and final Galaxy polish: KOH Atmosphere

Adorned Nails: KOH Milky Way

Polish number four from KOH Galaxy. It's a sophisticated beauty, methinks.

A two-coater, KOH Milky Way is a chocolate taupe shimmer. It's not too dark and not too somber. There's something very calming about it.

Previous Galaxy polish: KOH Magnetic
Next Galaxy polish: KOH Stardust

Adorned Nails: KOH Magnetic

This is another gorgeous one from the Galaxy collection. It's a magenta shimmer and KOH has christened it Magnetic. Two coats, as usual.

Previous Galaxy polish: KOH Falling Star
Next Galaxy polish: KOH Milky Way

Adorned Nails: KOH Falling Star

Here's the second polish from the Galaxy collection.

KOH Falling Star is a relatively simple purple shimmer polish but if you look at it closely in sunshine, you might be able to catch it twinkling blue and pink. You're looking at two coats.

Previous Galaxy polish: KOH Universe
Next Galaxy polish: KOH Magnetic

Adorned Nails: KOH Universe

It's time again for another new collection from KOH. The KOH Galaxy collection certainly has my kind of colours - mostly dark, stormy and foreboding.

I'll kick it off with the least broody of the six. You're looking at two coats of KOH Universe, a coral red glass-fleck polish. It looks pretty cheerful compared to the rest.

Here's Universe in the company of the other five:

L-R:
KOH Milky Way
KOH Magnetic
KOH Falling Star
KOH Stardust
KOH Universe
KOH Atmosphere

Next Galaxy polish: KOH Falling Star

Adorned Nails: Herôme W.I.C. Stunning Scotland Collection

Here's the new collection from Herôme. The colours are intense, in contrast to the mild, quiet shades of the previous collection, Peaceful Finland.

The Herôme W.I.C. Stunning Scotland collection is made up of:

L-R: Melrose, Kilmarnock, Stirling, Glasgow, Kirkcaldy, Aberdeen

I have two coats on in all the following photos:

Herôme W.I.C. Melrose
It's a metallic red, with a teensy bit of pink coral when compared to the other red, Kilmarnock.

Herôme W.I.C. Kilmarnock
This one's a full-on red with shimmer. It has that awesome glow-from-within look.

Herôme W.I.C. Stirling
Stirling is a straightforward metallic copper orange.

Herôme W.I.C. Glasgow
It's a moody medium blue-violet shimmer.

At a glance, the following final two look similar.

Herôme W.I.C. Kirkcaldy
Kirkcaldy is an aqua blue shimmer.

Herôme W.I.C. Aberdeen
Aberdeen is an aqua green shimmer.

Polishes were kindly provided by Herôme.

My favourite of the lot has got to be Kilmarnock. This crimson red's got depth.

Adorned Nails: KOH Candy Collection

If you thought the Herôme W.I.C. Peaceful Finland collection was too subdued for the summer, check out KOH's latest collection called Candy. They're all crèmes and when seen together, they make quite a splashy mob.

The six bombastic colours that make up this collection are:

L-R: Yellow Pops, Juicy Orange, Candy Crush, Funny Gum, Blueberry Bubbles, Jelly Bean Green

KOH Yellow Pops
It's an intense canary yellow. It's so yellow it's almost a crime.

KOH Juicy Orange
This one is a yellowy orange, like the colour of some egg yolks.

KOH Candy Crush
Candy Crush is a bright, juicy pink - not quite Barbie and not quite flamingo.

KOH Funny Gum
Here's a plain and simple magenta for you.

KOH Blueberry Bubbles
This one's a darkish cobalt blue.

KOH Jelly Bean Green
Pistachio green is how I would describe this final one.

Happy colours kindly provided by KOH Cosmetics.

Adorned Nails: Herôme W.I.C. Peaceful Finland Collection

Peaceful Finland is the latest collection from Herôme. The colours are nothing loud, they're just pale, muted and serene.

These are the six colours, each named after a city or town in Finland:

L-R: Rovaniemi, Lahti, Lohja, Jyväskylä, Mikkeli, Joensuu

Here are the polishes applied (two to three coats):

Herôme W.I.C. Rovaniemi
It's a very pale beige crème.

Herôme W.I.C. Lahti
Lahti is a light grey taupe shimmer.

Herôme W.I.C. Lohja
This too is a creamy one, a white with the slightest lilac tint.

Herôme W.I.C. Jyväskylä

Jyväskylä isn't a straight-out milky pink crème. You'll have to look closely to see the bitty bits of shimmer in the formula.

Herôme W.I.C. Mikkeli

This is another one with subtle shimmer. Mikkeli is a light lavender crème.

Herôme W.I.C. Joensuu
Finally, here's baby blue Joensuu. It's a blue crème, so pale you'd almost think it's white.

Polishes were kindly provided by Herôme.
