Adorned Nails: Sportsgirl Galaxy

If you are like me and you love dark nail colours, then I think you would know how I feel about this polish: instant love! Sure, it lacks the pretty, whimsical flakies that we so love, but its busy, dizzy (mainly) golden shimmers floating in burgundy-black polish more than make up for it.

This is a polish from Australian brand Sportsgirl which my dear friend, Danielle, sent me in a swap we did ages ago. Another polish that she got me - Sportsgirl Purple Rain - is also a beauty.

Sportsgirl Nail It Galaxy applied like a dream and I have two coats on here.

I love the slim, cylindrical 3.5" tall bottle. It's different! Unfortunately, the Sportsgirl Nail It nail polish collection and the bottle design look different now, according to the Sportsgirl website.

Adorned Nails: Sportsgirl Purple Rain

After getting overly dazzled by KOH Metallic Red last week, I felt I should rekindle my love for one of my two favourite nail colours this time. Perhaps that's guilt talking.

My lovely friend, The Diva's Polish, sent me this all the way from Australia. Thank you, my dear! Actually, she sent me much more than just this polish, so there will be more features to come.

This is my first brush with a Sportsgirl product and I'm loving it! Purple Rain, a deep purple/violet polish with very fine shimmers, applied really well. Opacity is possible with one coat, but I did two anyway. I believe it's 3-free and I must say it's a pretty hardy polish. I've had it on for a couple of days and it's still looking good. Err, no top coat, as usual!
