Adorned Nails: Essence Spot On

This is so not me, but I like variety. I thought I should take a short break from my usual dark and/or loud colours. It says "New" on the bottle but really, Essence Spot On has been around for a long time. I must have had this bottle for at least half a year.

The quality of Essence polishes isn't too bad, especially those from the Multi Dimension range like this one here. They don't cost much either, just €1.59 per bottle (8ml), so I can't complain.

I'm wearing two coats here. Application: Superb. Drying time: Not that fast. Durability: Average. I would describe Spot On as a crème dirty pink, a dusty rose. At times, it looks like a cross between berry and brown. Neutral and subdued, it's certainly an office-safe, meeting-safe colour. You can't go wrong with this shade.

Jane Iredale: Eye Look II With Green Silk

After getting acquainted with Jane Iredale's Eye Gloss in Wine Silk and totally loving it, I decided to get myself another one. It was darned difficult choosing from the remaining seven available shades but in the end, I got something green. Haa, I kinda question my choice though. Too late.......musn't regret.

You know I like simple. For this look, I used:

L-R
Jane Iredale Eye Gloss - Green Silk
Jane Iredale Eye Pencil - Black/Grey
Stila Convertible Eye Color - Forest
GOSH Wonder Volume Mascara

All I did was apply Green Silk all over the lid, lined the upper lashline with the Black/Grey Eye Pencil and then applied a bit more of Green Silk over the eyelining. I used the olive green eyeliner portion of Stila Convertible Eye Color to line the outer two-thirds of the lower lashline. Curled lashes and applied mascara. Done!

Green Silk seems to have more shimmer than the burgundy of Wine Silk. It's a light silver green, a sage green. The finish of Green Silk reminds me a lot of the Lights of ELLIS FAAS but there are differences. Jane Iredale Eye Gloss is waterproof and longlasting. ELLIS FAAS Light is also longlasting but not waterproof. Light will stay put unless you rubbed your eyes quite a fair bit. I just thought this might be of interest to some of you.
