Funny name. No prize for guessing where Catrice got the inspiration from.
Catrice Khaki Perry is another polish from the Modern Muse Collection which was released not long ago. Catrice called it a Limited Edition collection and it appears so in most Kruidvat stores.
However, I was in one store the other day and in this store, the items (including Rusty But Sexy, eyeshadows and mascaras) that are supposed to belong to the 'Limited Edition' Modern Muse Collection were instead displayed in the permanent collection racks, labelled as NEW!. I just checked the Catrice website and my suspicions were confirmed. Sometime in the last few days, Catrice updated its website to include these new items/colours in their permanent collection. Hmmmmm......
Catrice, it's confusing and misleading. Please don't call items Limited Edition if they are not.
You can see the current range of Catrice nail polishes on their website. Note that Rusty But Sexy and this one, Khaki Perry, are cozied up very nicely amongst the permanent colours.
Anyway, back to business. Khaki Perry is not quite a khaki. Silvery with a tiny tinge of green, it has subtle grey/black specks in the formula. In a nutshell, it's a mildly metallic, sooty sage. At a glance, it looks like tarnished silver.

This one needed at least two coats. You're looking at three. The above two photo were taken in the shade.
The following were taken in sunshine.

This is a very interesting color; I like it! It looks good on you too. I need to swap with someone soon so I can get my hands on some Catrice polish!
love the color, think this one would look awesome with matte coat ;-D
I love this polish! so beautiful!
@déjà vu
Thanks! At first glance, it looks quite dull in the bottle. I like how it turned out on the nails. I'm glad it has caught your eye too. :)
@nail crazy
Hmm, if I have time, I might put on a matte coat to see how it looks. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
@Paulina
That's great, Paulina! :)
Such a cute color!!
I love it!
@rock-or-not
I'm glad you like it. :)
Such a gorgeous color. I love the tiny tinge of green in it, it makes it a very unique shade.
You always pick the beautiful uncommon ones. Great taste! :)
Love the bag as well, very elegant. Take care, Nicole x
Stunning pics! I love your outfit and this bag is to die for. Very elegant piece and color. The shade of this polish is a great match.
So they took "in the Bronx" out of the permanent collection and they labeled it "limited edition" and then it went to their permanent collection again. How weird! Confusing and misleading indeed :(
Anyway it's a beautiful subtle color.
"KTee" xx
i don't think i can pull the color off but it looks good on you anne. :)
@Nicole
I got Khaki Perry because I didn't have anything like it. It's not one of those eye-catching colours but you're right, it's uncommon. Thanks so much, my dear. I'm pleased you like the bag too. :D Have a fabulous weekend! :)
@KTee
Thank you very much for your kind words! Yay for the bag! :D
Yeah, the line between limited edition and permanent seems to be blurred with these few polishes. I was at yet another store today and saw the same thing. The items that were in the Modern Muse Collection are now blended into the rest of the (permanent) collection. Oh well....there are other better things to worry about in life but it's just a bit annoying how it's all presented.
Anyway, have a lovely weekend, KTee! :D
@sugar sugar
Haha, thanks! :)
those are some sexy nails! :)
@kavitha
Thanks, Kavitha. :)
I bought this one, didn't get the chance to try it so thank you for showing me how it looks on the nail. Can only hope I wear it as well as you.
When I bought I still was under the impression it was LE, but now I know it's in the permanent collection I'm less excited, isn't it strange how that works?
@PolishSis
I'm sure this will look great on you but I have a feeling you would want to pimp it up, my dear. It does look quite plain on its own. :)
Well, when I bought this, it was presented as Limited Edition and I know that was what we all saw in Kruidvat. A couple of weeks later, I see it being displayed in the permanent collection! I'm not too amused with how Catrice is handling this. It's misrepresentation!
This one is gorgeous! I love the khaki color!
I was looking page after page on your blog last night, but smack my head for missing out on this post!
This is such a beautiful colour! I haven't really seen such antique-y gold shade. OK, golden khaki then. :)
@Anutka
I'm pleased this is to your taste, Anutka. :)
@Vonvon
Well, what matters is that Khaki Perry managed to call out to you today. :D It's a very simple, easy-on-eye colour. I didn't have anything like this before, so I didn't hesitate purchasing it. I'm glad you like its uniqueness too, Vonvon. :)
It's a lovely shade but I admit I was really surprised when I tried it for the first time. I was expecting something more green and goldy and on my nails it turned out to be more like a steel with a hint of cool green. Strange colour but intriguing.
@Atqa Beauty
Haha, and I didn't know what to expect when I first bought it. I was intrigued (like you) by the strange colour. It's like nothing that I have in my stash. :)
