Adorned Nails: KOH Metallic Red on Hot Pink

Here's something to break the monotony. Adorned nails of a different kind! Photos taken at the beach on a much, much warmer day.

I've hesitated for a long time about exposing my toes to international scrutiny. Some people might find it icky, in which case, please click it away! And oh, I beg you not to alert the military foot police (cheesy pun intended). Fantastic-looking feet I do not have, but burying them in sand can produce some very forgiving pictures.

Here's a quick look at the two polishes used and how Metallic Red looks on its own:

L: KOH Hot Pink (bottom) and KOH Metallic Red (top); R: KOH Metallic Red

This was my first experience with layering: two coats of KOH Hot Pink and one of Metallic Red on top. The end result: a richer, glowing red.

Well, never mind the nails, I had a lovely day at the beach with hubby.

Listen.......can you hear the waves crashing?

You are so funny...Icky.... LOL. Well I didn't click away. The color turned out to be beautiful. The metallic red on it's own is fabulous too....pink, is not my thing.

I agree with KTee, it's really nice. I also like the idea of layering nail polishes, pretty unique I must say! But wow, isn't it too cold to go to the beach? And walk around barefoot? Haha.

@KTee
Oh, I had feared en masse click-aways! Thank goodness you're still here, KTee. :D True, Metallic Red looks great on its own (still one of my favourites). This layering just gives it a different whirl. :)

@Anni
Hi, Anni! So glad you like this. You did tell me the other day that you have Metallic Red, so this could be something you could try too. Btw, those photos were taken a while back when I was on holiday. I would be showing blue toes here if I had gone barefoot in these current wintery conditions. Brrrr! :D

And I think feet are gross in general, but yours aren't bad! Kudos for showing the world! I'd be scared to! lol

What's wrong with those feet? They are very pretty and adorned with gorgeous nail polish. Nice post xx

@Barbie
Haha, thanks for the vote of confidence......even though it's not quite your thing. :D

@The Girlie Blog
Thank you! :)

@raey
Aww, thanks! I'm so pleased you appreciate this. That doesn't necessarily mean though that I will be doing more of this. ;D

@The Diva's Polish
Thanks, my dear, but really, that was the sand camouflaging the faults and prettifying my feet there. Heh heh!

Thanks for showing your first experience with layering. I think the result is a very beautiful shiny and sunny color. I love it.

Koh should consider selling this stunning color as Koh Witoxicity. LOL Take care, Nicole x

I'm not fond of looking at feet, but if they look clean and have well kept nails with a nice color on them then I do like to see them. So your pictures are fun and not icky at all! Actually, they make me long for summer even more! *takes a sad glance outside the window at the rain*

@Nicole
Oh, Nicole, you do crack me up! :D Cute suggestion with that name, but very unlikely they would take it seriously. The name's way too abstract, me thinks. Haha!

@Cynthia
You're very kind to say that, Cynthia. Thanks! Sigh, I long for the beach too. I can't wait for warmer weather. :)

@PolishSis
Haha, thanks, Inge! :D I'm relieved this didn't put you off. Yes, bring on summer! Oh wait, gotta get through the end of winter AND the whole of spring first. Tsk!

@Crystaliciousss
Haha! Yes, we'll just have to sit tight and wait for summer to come. In the meantime, we'll just illude ourselves into thinking it is warm and sunny with happy, summery pictures like these. :D
