ELLIS FAAS: Eye Look With Light XI

Here's a mainly brown and black smokey eye look with hints of taupe and metallic lilac.

If you follow this series of ELLIS FAAS looks, you might notice that it is a variation of Eye Look VIII.

I used:

L-R
Creamy Eyes E106 - matte light brown/lilac, taupey
Creamy Eyes E104 - matte dark brown
Creamy Eyes E103 - matte black
Light E304 - metallic lilac
Mascara E401 (black)
Note: The E104 was my own purchase while the others were provided by ELLIS FAAS for me to review and/or try in the course of last year.

L-R: Creamy Eyes E106, E104, E103, Light E304

This is what I did:

Upper lid
1. Applied with finger the taupe of E106 on the area just above the lid fold.

2. Under that, applied the brown of E104 on the lid fold area and stretching it to the outer corner of the eye.

3. Dabbed on some black of E103 close to the lash line on the outer two thirds of the lid.

4. Used an angled eyeliner brush to line and tightline with the same black of E103

5. With a detail brush, applied the metallic lilac of E304 to the inner V.

Lower lid
6. Lined the outer two-thirds with the brown of E104.

7. Lined the whole lower lashline, ie. also going over the brown just applied, with the metallic lilac of E304.

8. Curled lashes and applied mascara.

Stunning look!

I have yet to try Ellis Faas eyes, but I'm already in love with their lip products.

Gorgeous! Interesting how different colors look on different skin tones. E105 turned yellow on me, so you and Replica (Visionary Beauty) are so lucky that you get the mauve-taupe tones from it. And E104 turned a ghastly poo green on me! You really rock those dark and smoky eyes.

Great smokey eye look my dear. The metallic lilac makes it extra yummy. "KTee" xx

@Jen W
Thanks, Jen! Oh, their lip products are great! Creamy Lips and Milky Lips totally get my vote. As for the eye products, I love how longlasting these liquid eyeshadows are (Creamy Eyes especially) and by that, I mean cast iron lasting! :D

I don't know if you've started noticing this yet, but be warned that the EF applicators get blocked quite easily. It's a longstanding issue that I wrote about in this article, ELLIS FAAS: An Update, last year. Just thought you should know. :)

How very interesting, Zuzu. And ELLIS FAAS does say that their colours are for all skin tones, so you wouldn't think that, on the skin, the colours would look any different from the original, intended shade!

Well, look at the bright side. Now that they are what they are, I suppose you'd have to re-define your Creamy Eyes colours and make the best use of them. You can get a khaki-ish green eye look with hints of yellow. The rest of us get boring black and taupe! :)

@KTee
Thank you, KTee. That metallic lilac is gorgeous and although I'd like to, I think it's just too va-va-voom to be used on the whole lid (did something like that in Eye Look VII). For now, using it for little accents would do. :)

I don't know if I have commented in your previous posts on Ellis Faas, but Metallic Lilac is gorgeous!

And as always, nice simple yet elegant smokey eye look. :)

@Vonvon
Thank you, Vonvon. :) I agree. I love lilacs in general but this one, being metallic, just has so much more character! :)

@Anutka
Thanks, Anutka. :)

@sugar sugar
Haha, thanks, sugar sugar. Oh no, I haven't got mad blending skills. I just have madly stained fingers! :D

@Michelle
Thank you, Michelle. :)

@Nicole
Yes, you do that! Having a bit of metallic on the eyes helps to add a bit more dimension. Go easy on it if you're not used to this at the beginning. Thanks so much, Nicole. :)
